Introduction
A terroir privileged
CHATEAU LA BRANNE is located in the town of Bégadan in the Medoc peninsula. Our family property is an island of vines in a preserved natural setting benefiting from a terroir privileged with calcareous clay soils, gravel and clay and gravel and sand. The 30 hectares of vines are composed of the emblematic Medoc grape varieties, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, le petit
verdot and cabernet franc.
High Value Environmental
Committed to an approach that respects nature and our health, we give great importance to this aspect of our work. In September 2016, the property was certified High Value Environmental Level 3, the highest level. Beehives are installed in the vineyard as well as seedlings of flowers for our friends the bees.
Our passion for wine and our terroir has allowed us to always progress both in terms of environmental and the quality of our wines. Since 2008 Château La Branne has been classified Cru Bourgeois every year.
2020, a new start: Château La Branne is now Cru Bourgeois Supérieur.
This new classification is based on the quality of the wines guaranteed by a committee of tasters, on sustainable and eco-responsible viticulture and promoting the cru commercially, the welcoming to the property and its notoriety.
Vincent, our son with the soul of a globetrotter that took him to Chile and New Zealand to discover another vision of wine, joins us on the property. He brings his youth and his enthusiasm and creates a new cuvée.
Our wines are characterized by their finesse and elegance with hints of ripe fruit. Tannins are silky and soft. Depending on the different vintages, aging can range from 3 to 15 years. So you will certainly find your happiness by tasting our wines
